No, M-POWER does not receive any government support.

Is M-POWER a United Way agency?
No, M-POWER is not a United Way agency, but has received some financial support through the United Way Community Crisis Fund.

Is M-POWER a part of the Birmingham Baptist Association?
M-POWER partners with the Birmingham Baptist Association but is a separate non-profit organization.

My church supports M-POWER, why should I contribute directly?
Both as volunteers and donors, individuals are the life blood of M-POWER. Congregations face the difficult task of determining which local, national, and international ministries and missions projects to support. These can change from year to year. We are seeking individuals who feel a calling and connection to support M-POWER above and beyond giving to their own congregations.

What services do you provide?

  • Health Center- medical and dental services
  • Literacy Center- adult reading help
What do your services cost?
All of our services are completely free of charge.
