Thursday evenings in October 2009
October 15, 22, and 29; 5:30pm- 9:30pm
Trinity United Methodist Church, Homewood
Workshops are held at the M-POWER Ministries location unless otherwise noted.
Additional workshops can be scheduled at your church with a minimum of 15 people.
Training materials cost $45 per person. All three sessions must be completed for certification.
170,000 adults in Jefferson County
read below a fifth grade level.
M-POWER Literacy is the largest adult literacy program in the state. We provide one-on-one literacy instruction to adults who want to improve their reading skills.
With improved skills, these adults can find better jobs, read bedtime stories to their children or grandchildren, and read the Bible for the first time. Knowledge is power. Reading is empowerment.
If you can read, you can teach someone to read!
